License Usage Scope

Choose how you plan to use the Talent’s likeness. Each license covers one specific project and may only be used within the selected scope.

Film / Series / Short Drama / Music Video
For productions where the Talent’s likeness appears as part of the story, performance or audiovisual content.
You can use it for:
- Film, series and short drama
- Music videos
- Trailers, teasers and promotional materials directly related to the licensed production
- Distribution of the licensed production on approved platforms and territories
License period:
The production must be created and released within 1 year of license purchase. Once validly released, the licensed production may continue to be distributed throughout its lifecycle within the approved scope.
Not included:
Unrelated advertising, new productions, sequels or spin-offs, merchandise, product packaging, or reuse of the Talent as a standalone avatar.
Advertising / Commercial
For campaigns created to advertise or promote a brand, product or service.
You can use it for:
- Digital advertising
- Social media advertising
- Sponsored content
- Paid media
- Brand campaign content
- Organic campaign posts
- TVC and other approved commercial media
License period:
2 years from the license purchase date.
The license applies only to the approved campaign, client, brand and products or services.
Not included:
New or unrelated campaigns, new products outside the approved scope, merchandise or product packaging. Print & OOH requires the applicable add-on.
E-commerce / Fashion Editorial
For static images used to present products, fashion or branded editorial content.
You can use it for:
- Product listing images
- Product detail pages
- Marketplace listings
- Model and outfit images
- Lookbooks
- Fashion editorial
- Brand website and approved brand channels
Image allowance:
Up to 50 distinct static images may be published under one licensed project.
You may create more images internally and select up to 50 for public use. The same unchanged image used across multiple approved channels counts as one image.
License period:
2 years from the license purchase date.
Not included:
Paid advertising, sponsored placements, paid boosting, video or animated content, merchandise, product packaging, or Print & OOH.
Games / Animation
For using the Talent’s likeness as a character within one identified game or animation project.
You can use it for:
- Game characters
- Animated characters
- Approved platforms and editions
- Localization and project updates where included in the license
License period:
Full lifecycle of the approved project, subject to the License Scope.
Not included:
Other games or titles, sequels, crossovers, standalone avatars, virtual influencers, merchandise, downloadable likeness packs or reuse of the character outside the licensed project.
Important
Your license is limited to the project, usage, territory, channels and duration shown in your License Scope.
If you want to use the Talent’s likeness for another project or outside the licensed scope, an additional license or add-on may be required.

Sensitive Scenes & Special Approval
Nuva supports creative storytelling while protecting each Talent's personal rights and preferences.
Certain portrayals are considered Sensitive Scenes and require the Talent's explicit approval before use.
Supported Sensitive Scene Categories
1. Boys’ Love (BL) / Girls’ Love (GL)
Portraying the Talent in same-sex romantic relationships, storylines or character roles, including Boys’ Love (BL) and Girls’ Love (GL) productions, whether or not physical intimacy is involved.
2. Intimate Scenes
Romantic or intimate interactions, including kissing, embracing or other non-explicit physical intimacy.
3. Sexual Appearance (Non-Nude)
Sexually suggestive appearances, styling, clothing or portrayals that do not involve nudity or otherwise prohibited sexual content.
4. Death / Dying
Scenes portraying the Talent's character dying, deceased or experiencing a fictional death.
5. Villain / Morally Negative Role
Portraying the Talent as a villain, antagonist, criminal or character engaging in morally negative behavior within a fictional production.
How Sensitive Scene Approval Works
Sensitive Scenes are not automatically included in a standard license.
- The Producer must disclose the intended Sensitive Scene and relevant context.
- The Talent must explicitly approve the requested Sensitive Scene before it is authorized.
- Approval applies only to the agreed scene, portrayal and production scope.
- Material changes to an approved Sensitive Scene may require additional approval.
Important: Sensitive Scene approval does not permit content prohibited by Nuva's Prohibited Use Policy or applicable law.
Prohibited Use Policy
All Nuva licenses are subject to the Nuva Prohibited Use Policy.
Even if a use appears to fall within your selected License Usage Scope, you must not use the Talent’s likeness for any purpose prohibited by the Prohibited Use Policy.
This applies to the licensed content, AI-generated content, edits, adaptations and any other use of the Talent’s likeness under the license.
Please review the Prohibited Use Policy before purchasing and using a license.
